The Rubies story…

Rubies in the Kitchen started singing and performing in 2003. Lisa, Robyn, Patricia and Rosemary had been singing together in Great Southern A Cappella, with Diana Clark, and very much wanted to start singing with a group again. So, Kay gallantly put her hand up to take on the challenge…

The four original members have now moved on to other pastures… while others have joined along the way.  Julie came along next, then Linda (who provides invaluable spontaneous Reiki healing), and Kate met Kay in their day jobs and got dragged in as well. Then Helen and Anette came along to provide us with our Polish connection (Rubies in the Kitchen are very big in the Melbourne Polish Community – go figure!) Korean/Spanish speaking Ruth joined Helen in the bottoms… Anne added to our tops. And going with the “Ann” theme, Anna has become a gem…as well as Harlinah.
